I bought a vape pen for $80 (total bill after credit card upcharge and tip was $95). Monica the clerk told me there was a 24-hour return period. After I got home I discovered that the price I paid was nearly triple what is offered online. I like to support local businesses but not at that cost. I immediately called the store and spoke to Monica. I said I’d need to return it and knew she’d told me about the 24-hour return time. I had purchased it at 1:15pm. I asked her what time I’d need to get it there to get a refund and she assured me TWICE that I could bring it in anytime before closing, and that I did not need to be there strictly within the 24 hours as long as it was returned by the next day. It was more convenient for my work schedule to return it on my way home so I arrived at the store at 4pm. A different clerk was on duty and called the owner who told him I could not have a refund because it was just after the 24-hour limit (by less than 3 hours and with Monica’s permission). I told the clerk what Monica had said and asked him to call her, which he did. I couldn’t hear her well but her tone was dismissive and she soon wanted to hang up and did, but: no refund. I talked more with the clerk and asked him to call her back to talk with me. He did and she said she couldn’t override the owner and again was dismissive. I was upset at the way I was being treated and it showed. I said nothing rude or inappropriate but was demanding to get my money back, saying that the company should stand behind what their employees tell customers and this was not right. That I would have gone in in the morning had I known what Monica told me was false. I asked the clerk what was next and his answer was: “You leave and if you don’t I’ll call someone to have you removed.” I was horrified at this threat and the terrible customer service. In hindsight I guess it explains the absurd 24-hour return policy: they don’t want to offer good customer service so they make it nearly impossible to address issues. Hard to imagine why a business would want to treat customers this way.

Best place to get flower and carts!! I didn't get the young lady's name sadly but her customer service was on point. She definitely knew a lot and was extremely helpful. My fiance and I only wanted flower and ended up getting other things too and weren't disappointed at all. We will definitely be back more often and will be recommending this place to other people from chapel hill area 🤗

A relatively small store with a wide variety of products and a soothing ambiance. The staff at this location is friendly and knowledgeable. Of the employees there Tibaa provided me with a wealth of information and somehow made me feel safer delving into CBD products. Monica was also helpful when it came to product descriptions. HempLux has tinctures, oils, flower and vaping devices that can all help soothe ailments or promote better sleep hygiene. I look forward to being a repeat customer.

Full disclosure I wrote another review under an old account by mistake! I use this account to write all of my reviews and the store is so awesome I wanted to get some photos and take the time to write another review under this account. ANYWAY - as you can see they have some pretty awesome products! I tried the gummies and they are so awesome for helping me get to sleep. I’m also pleasantly surprised that they have skin scare items. As someone that suffers from acne I can tell you that the CBD has significantly reduce inflammation in my face. My face simply doesn’t hurt with inflammation like it did before. We’ve been three times and each time we’re greeted with a knowledgeable employee that was willing to help! I love this place and we will be stopping in each week to try out new things. They even have products for dogs to help with anxiety (pictured) so cool! Check them out! You won’t be disappointed! Note: the flowers pictures are not marijuana they are CBD and have no mind altering “high” effects. Obviously real marijuana is not legal in NC.
