Third Planet

I stopped in to look at rings Friday July 5th, heard they had a big assortment. I stood in front of a locked counter and made eye contact multiple times with an employee that didn’t seem to be helping anyone. I thought maybe she was training since there was another employee but we continued to make awkward eye contact. I called after I left and spoke with a male employee and I asked what it took to get service at some point in our conversation he asked if I asked for help? I did not ask for help. So just wanted to share helpful advice, if you visit there and want to look at anything in locked counter be sure and ask for help DONT ASSUME all know what you are there for. Some don’t put it together that when standing there making eye contact and in front of a locked counter that you need help. Unfortunately some of the staff aren’t trained to offer assistance. I do like their merchandise and I have received better service in past when was at previous location.

An impressive gift store of Wichita, at the Town East Mall. I have been shopping at multiple locations of this locally owned business for many years, highlighted by some very unique jewelry and trinkets I’ve picked up for people, as well as buying incense, collectable rocks, and retro movie posters for myself. I’ve always liked checking out their knives and swords, the gems and minerals in the cases, and the smoke accessories in the back. This new location has exploded with inventory since moving to this larger shop, and I’m not convinced that is a good thing. This store is now overwhelming with products, doesn’t seem to be fully unpacked from the move even after months of being there, and doesn’t carry the charm of either of the two old locations. Even with a few outstanding employees that the store has, the vibe from the workers has really gone downhill here as my family and I have had some terrible service lately. This place now reminds me of a bloated gift shop at a tourist attraction, staffed by kids on summer break who could care less about customers. I could recommend Third Planet to those who want to see an interesting variety of gifts, but only encourage a visit when already planning to be at the East Wichita mall.

I love this store and the beautiful specimens and gemstone jewelry they have. Always a feast for the eye...

Great store and customer service. Be careful getting the grab bags. I wasted $20 on one for my husband. Had more kiddish stuff in it and a black thing I don't even know what it is. Wish I could return for a refund. Waste of money. Got one before this and it had AWESOME adults things in it.

Walked into this store not knowing what to expect. I was truly amazed at all of the stuff that the sell. Everything from rocks to socks and everything in between. The cool knives and swords that they have is really neat. They also have an every kind if paraphernalia you would ever want in one stop. Definitely, a good spot to walk around in while you are waiting on the rest of your shopping party (wife) to finish up. They carry Asian swords, fantasy, anime, an assortment of knives, and medieval swords and helmets. Not my cup of tea to shop but definitely interesting. You never know go in here and check things out and you might leave with something you can't live without.
